Canseco Apologizes For Outburst in World Series

 

 

Dateline: Oakland, Calif, November 15th, 1990

 

Former MVP and highest paid athlete in the world Jose Canseco suspended and charged for assault of seventeen-year-old fan. During Game 7 of the 1990 World Series with a tied game in the 9th inning. The A’s were forced to forfeit the game. The fan yelled at Canseco and made fun of the rumors that Canseco is a steroid user which is a popular rumor by fans. Which was followed by Canseco running into the crowd and beating him with a bat. The Oakland Athletics and MLB have suspended canseco are reviewing the incident and charges have been pressed. Oakland A’S paid for the medical bills and gave his family a free tickets for live. Canseco has apologized for his actions and will go to anger management courses. And he will give half of his salary to charities to help young, troubled kids. And has been going through a divorce and his brother’s arrest.

 

 

“The Oakland Athletics will give the young seventeen-year-old Micheal Smith free tickets to Athletic home games for life, and all of his medical bills have been compensated for.” Says Oakland Athletics owner Walter A. Hass Jr on the incident. Jose Canseco is the Oakland Athletics star and former MVP and highest paid player in the league. After the yelled “How did that needle in your ass feel Jose.” Jose ran into the crowd and beat him with his bat. The fan was sent to the hospital and the Oakland Athletics were forced to forfeit the game. Giving the fan a mild concussion and a broken arm. “This situation is unprecedented” says MLB commissioner, “We are reviewing the situation to make sure we do the situation and the fan justice.”

 

The Oakland Athletics have been the best team in baseball in the past three seasons. And Canseco is one of the best players in baseball during that period as he is a former MVP. And the only player to ever have 40 home runs and 40 steals in the same season. “Jose’s impact on the team will not effect are punishment”. Says Hass, “The most important things to the Oakland Athletics as an organization is the fans safety not the World Series loss, this act was unacceptable and despicable under any circumstances.”

 

Jose Canseco will give half of his salary to charities that help with improving the lives of troubled kids in improvised areas. “It was the least I could do to make up for my unacceptable actions”, Said Canseco. And last year after the earthquake in San Fransisco in 1989 despite it being in the middle of the World Series. Jose would volunteer in the aftermath of the earthquake during the break in between games. “Jose helped save my cat”, said San Fransico

Homeowner. And he made a 300,000-dollar donation to the families of the affected. Which would help rebuild the homes for people that could not afford it.

 

Canseco would release an apology for his actions, “First I would apologize to the fan, my teammates, and to MLB. Who I embarrassed with my actions.” Canseco has signed up for anger management courses. And it is to see the best anger management counselors in the whole country. “It is my job to make sure something like this will never happen again.” Said Canseco on why he signed up for the most expensive anger guidance courses.

 

 

 

Canseco’s wife filed for divorce right before the start of the MLB playoffs. And his twin brother Ozzie Canseco has been arrested for DUI. He was driving with a blood alcohol concentration five times over the legal limit and tested positive for cocaine. Jose has lost his only living family in the U.S. As, the rest of his family either has passed away or still living in Cuba, which he immigrated to at the age of six. “Jose’s family means everything to him, and he has been going through an extremely difficult time.” Said manager Tony Larussa. Fans have speculated that Canseco has used steroids. Canseco and Athletics have denied that and there is no evidence to prove that. “Jose has never showed any signs of steroids,” said team doctor Dr. Ericksen, “Jose is the hardest working guy in the locker room.” Said fellow All Star and fellow Bash Bro Mark McGwire.
